Behind the scenes of Lavender Design Co.

Madison Grant is a freshman at Lipscomb University, majoring in film production and minoring in business. However, she spends most of her time working on her small business called Lavender Design Co.

Madison says that from a very young age she had this "entrepreneurial mindset", she knew she wanted to use her talent and handiwork to glorify God and spread the gospel. She fostered those two things and in turn created Lavender Design Co.

She started out selling watercolor prints, calligraphy cards, and fine art. Grant came to the realization that solely selling physical products is very tedious. Full-time schoolwork didn't allow her to put in all the effort and time she needed for those individual pieces.

In 2020 stickers quickly became on the rise, and there was an increase in sticker shops and sales. Grant decided to take advantage of this increase in demand, and she branched out.

Using procreate, she designs stickers to sell on her online Etsy shop. Her niche designs and style reached the right audience and she sold a lot, fast.

Wanting to expand her market, she soon was able to be a vendor at small markets and events, as well as selling her stickers through small businesses in her hometown, Johnson City, Tennessee.

Grants stickers are more than just cute drawings or phrases.

Because the purpose of Lavender Design Co is to combine her talent of artistry and love for God, most of her stickers consist of uplifting phrases and reminders.

Sayings like, "Created for more," and "If the stars were made to worship so will I," are printed on her stickers.

She also has sticker designs for cities throughout Tennessee. Including Johnson City, Bristol, Elizabethton, Erwin, Nashville, and many more.

Grant doesn't limit herself to just stickers.

She also sells shirts and custom digital designs as well.

During the past holiday season, she sold hand painted ornaments.

With her strong message and ambition, Grant's goal is to eventually open up a store front here in Nashville to sell more of her products.

Balancing school and work might not always be a breeze, but her love for creating and spreading the good news gets her through!
